Payment
A deposit is required to confirm your reservation and will be charged to the card provided.
$100/2 nights
$200/3-6 nights
$500/week
The full balance owing for your reservation is due no less than 7 days prior to arrival, payable by e-transfer to info@deerparklodge.ca. If payment by credit card is preferred, a 2% processing fee will be applied.
You will be notified of your cottage name/number and your keys will be left in the cottage for you on arrival.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation - daily bookings:
60 days or more in advance of check in - 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
Less than 60 days in advance of check in - the full deposit will be forfeited.
2 weeks or less in advance of check in - 50% of the balance is due.
7 days prior to the check in date, 100 % of the balance is due.
In case of cancellation - weekly and long weekend bookings:
60 days or more in advance of check in - 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
Less than 60 days in advance of check in - the full deposit will be forfeited.
Less than 30 days in advance of check in - 100% of the balance is due.
Pets
The cottages and grounds at Deer Park are pet friendly excluding the Penthouse, Grandview C and Grandview D.
There is a one dog maximum per cottage, other pets are not permitted.
Dogs must be on leash when exploring the grounds and the beach, and not left unattended inside the cottage unless crated.
They must be picked up after and the baggies discarded in the dumpster on the south driveway.
The pet fee is $25 per night or $150 per week.
Smoking
All cottages are non-smoking. Anyone smoking inside a cottage or within 10m of any building will incur a $500 fine.
Cleaning & Damage
Please note, in case of damage during your stay we reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for repair or replacement.
Any cottage requiring excessive cleaning will incur a $200 cleaning fee at our discretion.
FAQ
What are check in and check out times?
Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am.
Balances are due one week prior to arrival via e-transfer. Your keys will be on the table in your cottage with directions sent to your email .
An early check in of Noon or late check out 1pm is possible for an additional $50. This is subject to availability and is not offered for cottages turning over the same day, or during our busy season. Please inquire via email.
What should I bring with me?
We provide pillows, quilts and blankets - please bring sheets, pillowcases, towels (beach & bath) and extra pillows as needed. We also provide coffee filters for drip coffee makers, bathmats, dishcloth, dishtowel, dish soap, and propane for the BBQ.
Some items we recommend bringing along: shampoo, hair drier, toiletries, garbage bags, coffee, salt and pepper, paper towel, newspaper to help start your campfire, beach shoes for walking over hot sand, flashlights, life jackets, matches, games and sunscreen :)
Is parking available at the cottages?
Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles per cottage. Boats, trailers, RVs etc. are not permitted.
How do you access the beach?
Deer Park Lodge has a private beach accessible via a staircase that is a short walk from your cottage. See our property map.
Our beach is not accessible by car but for guests needing drive-up access, we recommend Bayfield Main Beach, less than a 2 minute drive from Deer Park.
Please note that our grounds & beach are available only to registered Deer Park guests with wristbands, no day guests.
Can I set off fireworks?
We are pet friendly and lovers of wildlife. Sorry no fireworks at Deer Park.
Is there internet access?
There is wifi available in every cottage. If you are working remotely please arrange sufficient cell phone data to hotspot. Our wifi is excellent but power outages are always a possibility.
Do you offer camping?
We don’t offer camping or RV parking but there are some great options nearby! We recommend The Old Homestead. Our closest Provincial Parks are The Pinery and Point Farms.
Do you offer monthly rentals?
Longer-term stays may be available outside peak summer season. Send an email to info@deerparklodge.ca with the dates, number of guests and we'll be happy to discuss availability and pricing.
